Fresno, California – February 20, 2025 – High Performance Academy (HPA), a leading organization in sports & enrichment is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jill Riemer as its new Vice President. Jill brings a wealth of experience in the afterschool and youth development sectors, having played instrumental roles in advancing the afterschool movement over the past several decades.

Jill is nationally recognized for her early partnership-building efforts at the U.S. Department of Education during the formative years of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program and afterschool networks. She was the founding director of the Georgia Afterschool Network promoting advocacy, strategic collaborations, and systems-building efforts. Her unique ability to connect programming and partnerships with local, state, and federal policy has influenced system-building efforts and shaped future funding and policy priorities.

Most recently, Jill spearheaded innovative school year and summer programs focusing on STEAM and social-emotional healthy play, while identifying ways to enhance K-12 impacts through stronger university partnerships. Her background as a Missouri state high school soccer and golf MVP, with two state championships, also aligns seamlessly with HPA’s mission to empower young people.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jill to our leadership team,” said Jesus Garcia, CEO and Founder of High Performance Academy. “Her expertise in youth and employee development, combined with her leadership and vision, will be instrumental in driving our mission forward. As we continue expanding our programs and deepening our impact nationwide, Jill’s experience will help us elevate our initiatives, strengthen our team, and create even greater opportunities for our youth and future leaders.”

“I’m excited to join High Performance Academy (HPA) and contribute my skills to build out their new HPA Pathways focusing exclusively on partnerships with schools, districts, and other education stakeholders along with bringing operational leadership to their values-driven, talented team including an indoor facility in California’s Central Valley. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage my experience and make a meaningful impact for students and the HPA coaches and camp staff who work tirelessly to bring young people legendary afterschool and summer camp experiences,” said Jill Riemer, new Vice President of High Performance Academy.
