About Me

With over ten years of experience in education, sports coaching, and program development, I specialize in creating inclusive, empowering environments for students and athletes—especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I hold multiple certifications in adaptive sport coaching and DEI training and bring a dual background in kinesiology and psychology to my role at HPA. I’m passionate about lifelong learning, community service, and inspiring young leaders to reach their full potential. coaches to develop and implement programs that empower students to thrive.

Professional Achievements

Active contributor to DEI initiatives, including SafeZone LGBTQIA+ and Ram REL (Racial Equity Lab) trainings through Fresno City College

Personal Background

I have a strong academic foundation in kinesiology and psychology, which I’ve applied throughout my career in educational and sports-based programs. My path has been shaped by a deep belief in equity, inclusion, and empowering underrepresented youth through education and athletics.

Family Life

I come from a traditional Hmong family and am the tenth of eleven children. In our household, it wasn’t considered acceptable for women to play sports, but my passion began when I would secretly play soccer with my brothers. Those early moments sparked a lifelong love for athletics and set the foundation for the path I’m on today.

Hobbies & Interests Outside of Work

Hiking, camping, salsa and bachata dancing, and training in jiu-jitsu. These keep me grounded, energized, and ready to lead by example.

Legends Off the Clock

Favorite Sports Memory
I had the privilege of coaching the women’s soccer team at Reedley Community College during just their second year as a program. In addition to coaching, I focused on mental skills training, drawing from my background in sport psychology to support the team’s growth both on and off the field.
Go-To Hype Song

Favorite Local Spot (restaurant, coffee shop, hangout, etc.)
El Pescador, Yoshinos, Japanese Garden, Underground Gardens, and Evanelle Vineyards Dream Travel Destination: Barcelona, Spain
Favorite HPA Moment
My favorite HPA moment was facilitating a leadership training for the team. It was incredibly rewarding to guide coaches and staff through interactive sessions focused on communication, accountability, and growth mindset. Seeing them take those tools and apply them with confidence in their own roles reminded me why I’m passionate about developing leaders—not just programs.
Why You Love Working at HPA
HPA allows me to combine my passion for education and athletics with the opportunity to lead and support other coaches in their professional growth. I enjoy helping others refine their coaching approach and build strong, effective programs. The environment at HPA encourages leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement—values that align closely with my own.
